OPERATION BACK TO SCHOOL WITH USO-METRO & MICROSOFTEvents at Fort Belvoir & Fort Meade
Fort Meade, VA and Fort Belvoir, VA – The USO of Metropolitan Washington (USO-Metro), in partnership with Microsoft, will host Operation Back to School events and back pack giveaway for the children of active duty service members. Children will participate in school day themed events, receiving a report card and grade for each interactive station they complete. Children will also receive a back pack stuffed with school supplies when they turn in their report card at the end of the event. As part of the Microsoft and USO-Metro ‘A Salute to Our Troops’ program, more than 5000 backpacks were stuffed with school supplies for children of military service members.
